Former master student at COPPE/PESC accepted in Cambridge
Alexandre Simões Raymond, a former master student at COPPE/PESC - guided by Prof. Franklin de Lima Marquezino - was recently accepted as a Ph.D. student at the University of Cambridge, UK.
Alexandre Raymond was also one of the 12 winners of the Industrial Fellowship, a prestigious scholarship granted by the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 to the UK's most gifted young research scientists and engineers.
Alexandre Raymond will develop an intelligent communication system to help the interaction between autonomous boats and humans. This subject is directly related to his area of activity in ASV Global, a UK based company and world leader in the field of autonomous boats, where Raymond was hired as Marine Autonomy Scientist.
